OBSTACLE IN LIFE

On the day 22nd Nov 2011, I met the first major downturn in my life. From the day I was born, my life had always been smooth sailing.... Until this accident happened.

It was another working day during my semester break on a Thurs morning. About to make my way across the traffic junction the road to chase a bus, I stepped a foot out from seeing that the traffic was ember. Within split seconds, I was being knocked down by a mini van unknowingly. It only dawned upon me that my foot was being ran over when I regain my composure. I started crying and whining "why has my foot become like this" in Chinese. It looked deformed.

There was huge pool of blood oozing from my foot, tendons and bones exposed, and I could see a trail of blood and flesh from the wheel tracks which ripped my flesh apart. (the treatment is written in my next blog post). My mum was being called down by a passerby. The main thing i wanted to emphasize was" the HEARTLESS DRIVER DID NOT COME FORWARD TO HELP or even bother to visit me in the hospital" He left me devastated and lost.

Well, till now I could only say this is destined to happen. All along, I would never chase a bus, always patiently waiting for the bus. So why did I dash across for the bus that day? I don't know! I question myself "Why me?" till now I couldn't find an answer. Lesson learnt. 1) Life is unpredictable, you never know what happens. Previous day I was in orchard with my bf.

Pulling a Christmas bell was my last photo standing up. The next day, i was bedridden for 24 days, not knowing when I am able to stand up again. 2) Always wait when the traffic is clear before crossing. 90% of accidents tend to happen on the road. Not all Drivers Follow traffic regulations.

Two months had passed since the accident had happened and my foot became from....

THIS (NOTE:THIS IS AFTER 2ND OP)
First op was to clean my wounds, Bones were fixed with Metal chain and wire after the 2nd op. The image was not too clear, but you an actually see that the fifth toe was dented.

TO THIS AFTER TWO MONTHS

No one can understand the suffering and pain I have gone through unless one had experienced it. This is a tolerance of sadness, stress and pain. I believe that this accident is to happen for a reason, and i hope it makes me grow up.

But one thing for sure is.... I am never able to wear heels again... And my foot will never look the same again.
